POUR OVER COFFEE TO SHARE WITH DAD
WATER
500g at 205˚F (96˚C)
COFFEE DOSE
30g medium ground
BREW TIME
3 minutes
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
V60
2 cup cotton paper filters
Carafe or pouring jug
Electric kitchen scales
Two of your favorite mugs
STEP ONE:
Place the V60 on top of your carafe or pouring jug. Put the filter paper into the V60 cone and soak the paper with hot water. This heats the V60 and the pouring jug. Discard the water from the pouring jug.
STEP TWO:
Put the ground coffee into the filter and pour 2g of your brew water for every 1g of coffee. The hot water will react with the fresh grounds and bloom. Stir the bloom gently to ensure all the coffee is wet.
STEP THREE:
Slowly add the remaining water, pouring in small circles over the center of the ground coffee. Fill to the top of the V60.
STEP FOUR:
As the water draws down, give a final stir following the downward direction of the rifled sides. A slight dome should form in the coffee bed. Once the filter has stopped dripping the coffee is brewed. Time to enjoy!
