Care & Product Guide

Poolside Use
The Waterhouse and Al Fresco collections feature extruded steel frames with multiple high-grade protective coatings — designed to hold up against rot and UV without losing their look.
If you're placing yours near the coast or poolside, a little extra care goes a long way. Salt air and chlorinated water can be tough on any outdoor finish, so we recommend giving your pieces a regular clean to keep them looking their best for years to come.
For information on recommended maintenance practices, check out our Warranty Terms & Conditions page.
Commercial Use
Built for the long haul, our commercial-grade outdoor furniture is crafted to withstand heavy use and the elements — whether that's a hotel terrace, restaurant deck, or resort poolside.
Outdoor Exposure
Our furniture is designed for life outdoors, but a little routine care will go a long way in preserving its finish and extending its life through the seasons.
We recommend cleaning your pieces regularly with mild soap, water and a soft cloth, rinsing thoroughly and allowing them to air dry. Prompt attention to spills and buildup — particularly around joints and hard-to-reach areas — will help maintain both appearance and integrity over time.
When not in use, covering or storing your furniture offers the best protection against rain, moisture and prolonged sun exposure. A quality outdoor cover is a simple habit that makes a meaningful difference season after season.
For material-specific guidance, refer to the care instructions below.
Product CARE
Teak Care
Crafted from natural teak, each frame carries its own character and will gracefully evolve with time. Exposure to the elements encourages the wood to develop a soft silver-grey patina — a signature of teak’s enduring beauty and life outdoors.
To care for the finish, gently clean with mild soap, water and a soft cloth, rinsing thoroughly before allowing the frame to air dry naturally. Spills are best tended to promptly to preserve the integrity of the surface, while harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaners should be avoided entirely.
For those who prefer to maintain teak’s original golden warmth, a teak protector or sealer may be applied periodically. We recommend avoiding teak oils, which can create uneven colouring over time.
During extended periods of non-use, covering or storing your furniture will help preserve its finish and longevity season after season.
As a living material, teak naturally responds to changing climates. Subtle variations, including small hairline cracks, may appear as the wood expands and contracts — a reflection of its authenticity, not a flaw.
Metal Frame & Table Care
Designed for open-air living, our powder-coated metal tables are crafted to weather the elements with strength and ease. Like all outdoor materials, routine care will help preserve their finish and extend their longevity — especially in coastal environments where salt and moisture are naturally more present.
For regular maintenance, gently clean surfaces with mild soap, water and a soft sponge or cloth. Rinse thoroughly with fresh water and allow the frame to fully air dry. Particular attention should be given to the underside of the table and around weld joints, where natural buildup can collect over time.
Homes near the ocean, saltwater pools or coastal climates may require more frequent cleaning, as salty air and water can gradually wear on protective finishes if left untreated. When not in use, we recommend covering your furniture to help shield it from rain, moisture, snow and seasonal exposure.
To preserve the integrity of the powder-coated finish, avoid abrasive cleaners, steel wool or harsh scrubbing pads.
As part of the natural behaviour of outdoor metal furniture, you may occasionally notice rust-coloured water emerging from inside the frame when the table is moved. This is not considered structural or corrosive rust. While the exterior is fully powder-coated, the interior of tubular frames may contain raw steel, where condensation or rainwater can collect over time, creating slight rust-tinted runoff. Keeping your table covered during wet weather will help minimise this occurrence and support long-term performance.

To adjust the recline setting push the backrest up or forward, you will hear a click for each recline setting. Pleasuretex® Fabric & Product Care
How long does your fabric last?
Our products are designed to withstand all weather conditions, offering UV, mold, and fade protection (up to 1500 hours of fade resistance). Pleasuretex® fabrics do not promote mildew growth; however, mildew can form on dirt and other substances if not properly maintained.
General Cleaning & Maintenance
- Easy to clean – Bleach can be used without affecting strength or color.
- Made entirely of durable acrylic, blending fibers and yarn for long-lasting quality.
- To clean:
- Prepare a solution of 1 cup of bleach and ¼ cup mild soap per gallon of water.
- Spray onto the fabric, allowing it to soak for 15 minutes.
- Use a sponge, soft towel, or soft-bristle brush to clean the surface.
- Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue.
- Air dry completely before storing.
Mold & Mildew Prevention
As our products are made with natural materials, it is difficult to completely prevent mold and mildew buildup. While the canvas is treated with UV, water, and mold protectants, this treatment will wear down over time. To prolong the life of your product, we recommend:
- Storing items in a dry place when not in use, especially if rain is expected.
- Ensuring umbrellas and chairs are fully dry before storing to prevent mold growth.
For routine maintenance:
- Spray with distilled white vinegar to kill potential mold.
- Let the fabric dry completely.
- Lightly scrub with a soft brush using a mixture of salt, lemon, and hot water.
- Avoid detergent soaps or bleach, as they can degrade the fabric.
- Air dry in the sun before storing.
