Care
Our metal dining tables are easy to maintain, but routine care is important to protect the powder-coated finish, especially in coastal environments.
- Clean regularly: Wash with a sponge or soft bristle brush using mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow to fully dry.
- Coastal + salt exposure: Salt water and salty air can shorten the life of the finish. If you live near the beach, in coastal areas, or near a saltwater pool, clean more frequently.
- Use protective covers: When not in use, cover the table to help protect it from the elements, especially before rain, snow, or ice.
- Pay attention to underside + joints: Clean the underside of the table and any weld joints carefully to prevent buildup.
- Avoid abrasives: Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh scrubbing pads, as they can remove the protective finish.
You may occasionally notice rust-colored water coming from inside the frame. This is not considered corrosive rust. While the exterior is powder-coated steel, the inside of tubular metal frames can be raw steel. Condensation or rainwater can collect inside, and a small amount of rust-tinted water may appear when the table is moved.
To help prevent this, keep your table covered when not in use, particularly during wet weather.
